Each year our students take the official Cambridge mock exams to evaluate their progress according to the standards of this prestigious University. When a student is prepared, at any point during the year, we help him apply to take the official exam, and we give him all the support he needs for him to pass the test.
Cambridge University Exams
PET – Preliminary English Test
Verifies that the student has a pre-intermediate level of English with which he can communicate during everyday situations both orally and writing. Corresponds to B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The level ranges from 140 to 159 points
FCE – Fisrt Certificate of English
Certifies that the student has an advanced intermediate level of English, adequate for most of day to day situations, both for studies and business.
Corresponds to a B2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The level ranges from 160 to 179 points.
CAE – Certificate in Advanced English
Certifies that the student has control of the language during professional and educational situations.
Corresponds to the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The level ranges from 180 to 199 points.
CPE – Certificate of Proficiency in English
Certifica que el alumno es capaz de desenvolverse de manera efectiva en la mayoría de los entornos lingüísticos y se aproxima a un estándar de inglés similar al de una persona nativa.
Corresponde al nivel C2 del Marco Común Europeo de Referencia.
En nivel abarca desde los 200 a los 220 puntos.
Other Official Exams
Due to an increasing demand of other international degrees, in Bristol we prepare students who request other official English exams such as IELTS or TOEFL, and for official exams in other languages, such as DELF in French or the Goethe Institut in German.
